Dear Editor,

Beautiful citizens residing in our Hamlet by the sea. Surely we agree judges in our judicial system have an awesome responsibility. It is probably not kosher to chastise a powerful judge in the court's hierarchy. However, in this case I feel it is totally justified. Let there be light.

Upon reading last Thursday's May 24th Peninsula Clarion headlines ("Judge raps paper, police: moves murder trial") and the article in which Brother Judge Hanson states, "We cannot get a jury," adding that the kind of coverage the case recieved in local newspapers made it impossible. "We can't try this case in this town."

I would say, good judge, let us have justice for all citizens, including those chosen to be jurors who appear before you and who are enlightened. In my book, under the flag of justice the more you know, the better you can serve.

Personally, I do not approve of the most Honorable Judge Hanson dumping his negative psyche on our Hamlet by the sea. Judgment on the exotic Homer News and our most excellent public safety department is outrageous.

I commend our police department and the Homer News for keeping us citizens well informed and aware of the events that take place in our Hamlet. It would be an act of absolute injustice for the Homer News and the police department to do otherwise.

Knowledge, understanding and enlightenment are the highest levels of justice in the human mind and the flow of life.

It could be Brother Judge Hanson, with all of his world of experience in the justice system, has not as yet developed sufficient understanding and enlightenment to work with a free, uninhibited, well-informed and enlightened community.

Good Judge, if you want to move the trial, move it. But, you do not have the right to pass judgment on our public safety department and the Homer News.

As individuals, the human race takes great pride in knowing that we are capable of making decisions which are not influenced by publicity. Therefore, it is insulting to an individual's intelligence for the justice department to assume otherwise.

I humbly plead with our most excellent public safety department and the exotic Homer News to pay no attention to this unjust judgment and carry on with your excellent work in keeping us citizens informed and aware of events occurring in our Hamlet by the sea.

A great sage spoke thusly once upon a time: "In general every evil to which we do not succumb is a benefactor." Justice freedom and love to all.

Beautiful citizens residing in our gorgeous reindeer sausage, ham, bacon and scrambled-egg omelet hamlet by beautiful Mother Nature's yin yang sea:

Upon reading my cosmic brother Willy Nye's exotic scroll in last week's flamboyant Homer News chastising my other cosmic brother Roy E. Hoyt as to the oil gangsters and piglets hanging on the sow's teats, from all indications he was referring to the mortal groovy money trip. I was reminded of the verse in Ecclesiastes (King James version) Chapter 10, verse 19 stating that "A feast is made for laughter and wine maketh merry, but money answereth all things."

Upon viewing this whole economic picture and looking into the wallet residing in my Salvation Army pants pocket, I wondered if I was hanging on to the old sweet sow's groovy tit myself. The land where my body lives and resides is tax free. I get the longevity bonus, and I also get the wonderful permanent fund check. From all indications there are many economic and material benefits flowing from the old oil tit.

I would like to thank my cosmic brothers, Willy and Roy, for their most excellent scrolls. You dear brothers made me think. I am sure it would be a groovy trip if we could get together for a cup of java, beer or a spoonful of Alaskan wild fireweed honey and brainstorm this mortal drama to see if we could come up with a plan for economic security, positive scientific advancement and spiritual upliftment for the whole human race.

My good brothers, quite often I cry out with great glee to the high heavens and give thanks for the Constitution of the U.S.A. Under this divine revelation and covenant we are free to choose our path and get with the program, sucking on this mortal illusion money tit or going to heaven. Aum mani oadme hum.

Beautiful citizens dancing on the wheel of destiny here in our Cosmic Hamlet by the sea and around the Gorgeous Countryside:

I am a free-will student in this mortal schoolroom. My teacher is the "Total Wheel of Life." It is a divine duty to face every action and reaction and search out the true understanding as to the cause and effect: the idea to escape must never, never enter into the mind's thinking chamber. I respect and accept all the Gods as my teachers, and my destiny is to keep an open mind and learn to experience the beauty and wisdom of all creeds and religions in the light of oneness and love.

I am very thankful to be a student of all the creeds and religions: this leaves my soul free to learn from each brother and sister I meet along the way. Each one is a beautiful Book of Life. Being a student leaves me free to study and learn from all the religious Holy Books; I am free to love all the Kingdom in Mother Nature: each thought, heartbeat, and breath is an act of worship and praise for the wisdom in this great and Universal school room emanated by the One Creator.

May I share a great student Commandment: "Learn and do good for goodness sake, not for praise or reward." Joy and Love to All.

Dear Editor,

In this lifetime I have enjoyed many stage presentations in large and small theaters. They were all very good and exciting; however, I must declare from the altar of my mind and soul, the gorgeous Nutcracker performed and presented in the cosmic high school Mariner Theatre was so beautiful, exquisite and gorgeous. Spirit Unity filled the beautiful theater to overflowing, emanating a spirit of community, harmony and love. The harmony of attention and spirit brought all of the souls together in oneness.

Thanks to all the dear citizens who gave their time, energy and expertise to bring this marvelous presentation into reality. I must declare, of all the stage productions that I have seen in this incarnate, the gorgeous Nutcracker tops them all! The stage designs were so beautiful and exciting. I am sure Santa Claus would have given up his reindeer and groovy sleigh to see the gorgeous Nutcracker.

Thank you a million times! Joy and love to you dear ones, and may you travel down the wheel of time and destiny in memory of this gorgeous experience. A joyful Christmas and a blessed new year to everyone.

Dear Editor, and most honorable citizens residing in our cosmic hamlet by the sea,

The human brain and thinking process has definitely moved into life's open mind and high speed lane in this ear of time and destiny providing unbelievable opportunity for cortical intellect and soul development. After making a close observation, I am convinced our schools, principals, teachers, and students here in our hamlet by the sea are doing a great job in the light of teaching and education. In fact, I rate our school district with the best in the nation.

Last Friday evening, shortly after sundown near 6 p.m., scores of beautiful citizens eased through the portals of the exotic Kenai Peninsula College on Pioneer Avenue. Gasping and astonished as to the positive, creative, and constructive design that has transformed the old Post Office building into a marvelous mortal and cosmic learning temple. Bypassing and eclipsing all the ordinary mortal expectations. The psychic energy emanating throughout the temple was so dynamic I danced down the gorgeous hallways and through the magnificent classrooms, rejuvenating my mind and soul's instinct for progressive learning. I flashed upon the womb of creation wherein the creator spoke thusly: "Let there be light and there was light." My soul and heart were filled to overflowing with light and great gladness.

Even though the effect of light doth cast a shadow, light is never divided against itself and pure light is the essence of each mortal mind and soul. Surely we all agree it is through the process of universal, open mind education and learning that we humans on the planet shall integrate and absorb the shadow of ignorance, separation and misunderstanding and move back into the pure light of wisdom, knowledge, faith, and love.

Each mortal that leaps from the mother's womb is endowed with life's spark of pure light and intelligence designed and projected by the creator. Each soul is destined on the wheel of time and destiny to make its prodigal journey back into the light from whence it came. I conclude the creator is a progressive intelligence becoming conscious of its creation through the mortal brain and highly complicated sense mechanism. And through this process, the creator is cataloging and projecting intelligence back into the cosmic memory bank. I also conclude there have been many cycles of creation prior to this one.

The creator is a progressive intelligence more so to be understood rather than worshipped. A student entering the Kenai Peninsula college learning temple will go nowhere just worshipping the teacher or even the designer of the temple. The student must respect the temple, the teachers, receive and learn the teachings, be tested, pass the test, and move on to higher grades of learning, absorbing patterns of intelligence and understanding unto itself.

It is natural that we must let go of one rung of the ladder before we can reach up and grasp a higher rung and it is a stark reality to progress each intellect and soul must absorb and integrate the shadow of ignorance and forever reach out into the light. From my point of view, there is only one human kingdom and one mother nature, pulsating within the bosom of one life.

A thousand thanksgivings pours forth unto sister Carol Swartz, director of Kachemak Bay Branch and all the dear souls who worked so diligently to bring this marvelous learning temple of light into manifestation.

I plead unto thee, my dear ones, continue your great work until this whole terrestrial globe is glowing in the light of wisdom, knowledge, faith and love.

Where the sewage ends and the effluent begins

Dear Editor:

Beautiful citizens residing in our Gorgeous Hamlet by the sea:

I would say becoming enlightened and conscious as to our economic security, scientific advancement and spiritual upliftment processes is the highest profession that can be chosen in this mortal school room. The creation, evolution and mutation of these three powers affect mother nature and every human on this mysterious planet. Economics, science and spirituality must be kept in balance for they are all facets of one Reality.

Without a doubt attending the wastewater sewer treatment plant dedication last Friday was one of the most interesting and enlightening scientific events that has fallen upon my mind since the last fifteen full moons danced over the wheel of time.

After an elaborate dedication and plaque awarding service, the treatment plant was open for inspection by us Hamlet Citizens. Word was given that this plant is the first one built in the USA. After viewing the plant, computers, operation and design, I would say the adjective "AWESOME" would properly describe the treatment center. I would also say the only way to appreciate the advancement in science from our old and lovely outhouse science to this 19 million dollar operation would be to go and see the plant for yourself. Unconsciously flushing a toilet is one thing. What happens to the poisonous waste matter from that point on is an event to behold! I sure hope public works keeps the door open for citizens that would like to view this marvelous operation plant. This plant is a real eye opener as to how human dung is processed to protect mother nature and ourselves.

It is a cold turkey fact and reality: the economy involved in this elaborate sewer plant has been very expensive. I support the 1/2 percent sales tax the city council has placed on the ballot to help pay the remaining six million dollar debt we still owe to set the operation free and clear.

Going through this plant gives one an appreciation as to the bowel movement and just how human we really are. Did you ever stop and think? The black hole that science has discovered out in space could be the Creator's ultimate in flushing and processing this Whole Universe; and it appears it is all "FREE"! Thank God!

And most honorable citizens:

I don't know about anyone else dancing upon the wheel of karma here in our beautiful city, but I would like to thank Brother Bob Klein, who has acted as interim City Manager during our transition period, for a most excellent job, and a high level of managment efficiency, keeping our city on a balanced course, giving the City Council plenty of time to employ a new City Manager. Personally, I shall grieve and lament in the marketplace. I was in hopes Bro. Bob Klein would have made application for the job as City Manager. An aura of friendship and quality has moved upon the horizon of destiny under bro. Bob Klein's leadership.

For sure, if the new City Manager, Brother Phil Shealy, demonstrates one-half the management ability shown by Bro. Bob Klein, he has my support 100 percent plus.

Hiring a City Manager is kind of like opening a Pandora's box. You never know what might come leaping out. Justice, severity, aggressiveness, or intelligence. For sure, the wheels of progress are spinning at a very fast pace down through the corridors of time here in our city. Let us hope and pray the soul of our community never becomes anemic nor withers away under the onslaught of and grasp for money, power, and greed.

Dear Editor,

Most honorable citizens dancing upon the wheel of destiny here in our cosmic hamlet by the sea - a high-powered and glowing spiritual experience moves upon the psychic altar here in our hamlet each Saturday evening when the mortal clock strikes 5 p.m. Scores of sincere and beautiful souls ease through the portals of the gorgeous S. Johns Catholic Temple to partake of the highest spiritual flow of love and dedication in the Christian world, the holy Mass.

As a student of life, the holy Eucharist is like unto a psychic bath for my body, mind and soul. During this spiritual experience the exotic Catholic temple overflows with humbleness, love and oneness. My attention soars into the cosmic abode of mystical bliss as the service moves into the great mystery of the Christ's bread and wine. In my book of life this ritual relates to the mystical alchemical process wherein the bread and wine spirit power returns unto the inner soul. In the Holy Bible, First John, Chapter 3, Verse 9, "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin, for his seed remaineth in him. And he cannot sin, because he is born of God."

I love to attend all the beautiful Christian temples of worship here in our hamlet. Each congregation partakes of the Last Supper at a different time as designated by the spirit of Christ.

As for myself, I would love to see all the guns, battleships and war machines on this planet beat into plowshares and in like manner, it would be out of this world if the many religions and beliefs would leap upon the altar of tolerance, love and understanding toward each other. For some reason I feel that we are moving in this direction. The beautiful Baha'is under the spiritual flow of the great prophet Baha'u'llah are laying the cornerstone for the oneness of mankind in Haifa, Israel. It is evident to me the spiritual power of the holy Eucharist is moving upon the deep unconscious abyss of this mortal schoolroom.

Lord have mercy. Science moves forward each day in progress making new discoveries as to the function of this mortal world and universe. In the light of spiritual upliftment it would be out of this world if the many religions would come together in love, unity and harmony. Through the unity of science and religion we would move toward an economic security for the whole human race and live in harmony with the laws of Mother Nature. Just a thought. Aum mani padme hum.

Brother Asaiah steps out

Asaiah Bates, long time Homer resident and city councilman, has resigned his seat on the council.

A new member will have to be voted in by the council. Present members or the mayor will make nominations.

Brother Asaiah, a student of tantra yoga and Tibetan Buddhism, says he expects to be headed for India on an open-ended visit with the Dali Lama.

He got onto the council at the urging of friends, and now says he can't continue to dedicate his time to it. Brother Asaiah is more a philosophical than a political bent.

In his letter to the city council (see page two) he wrote, "The wheel of time and necessity soon closes the gap of absence and I have found in the cosmic scheme of things we are all flowing Pearls of great Price held upon the eternal strand of unwavering love...Thank you most dear friends for your enduring patience and tolerance in helping me to understand the ways of this material world."

Several years ago he offered his homestead here to the Tibetan lamas, now living in India. "But they're not the kind of people to take something unless they need it," he says. He will offer to donate his place to them again.

Brother Asaiah first came to Homer in 1959 to visit a branch of the Fountain of the World, and returned to clear land at the head of the Bay. After 18 years in the communal group, he spent the past 8 years on his own, "working with all groups and individuals" to help them pursue their philosophical ends.

The trip to India, he says, is something he's had in mind for a long time.

Dear Editor and Parents,

At last Monday's Chamber of Commerce meeting Brother Coach Steve Wolfe asked the Chamber for a vote of support for football to become a part of the athletic program in the Homer school system. (The vote failed by one.)

I voted to support the program. I feel the desire, interest and energy of those who want to play football is just as valid as the first grader who wants to cut out paper dolls.

I believe that the interests of the students should be recognized and acknowledged as more important that quibblings over money.

I also support tennis, handball courts, skiing, hockey and all other sports. We old timers many times want to shove our sterile, senile ideas on to the young people, rather than give them honest and sincere support. In most cases this is all the young person asks for: support. They are wise enough to accept the fact if the funds are not available.
